Location: Singapore

Our client, a global FMCG leader with a strong portfolio of consumer brands, is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive commercial growth and build strategic partnerships with key customers in Singapore. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of customer accounts from day one, shaping business plans, strengthening relationships, and delivering sustainable growth across channels.

As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end customer relationships, developing joint business plans, and executing strategies that deliver value for both the business and its partners. You will work cross-functionally with internal teams to align on commercial priorities, while building strong market insights to drive effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and deliver sales and business targets across assigned accounts or channels.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Develop and execute joint business plans that align with customer objectives and market opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, shopper behavior, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure seamless execution of plans.
  • Manage trade investments and budgets effectively to maximize return on investment.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with customers to track performance and drive improvements.
  • Resolve customer issues proactively and ensure high levels of service and satisfaction.
  • Lead and coordinate with field sales teams to ensure strong in-store execution and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
  • Experience in key account management or sales within the FMCG industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives or manage stakeholders, either formally or informally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
