Technical Service Sales Executive – Marine Engine & Technical Services

Location: Singapore

Our client, a global marine engine and technical services provider, is seeking a Technical Service Sales Executive to support its expanding commercial and service operations. Known for delivering high-quality engine maintenance, repair, and technical solutions to the maritime sector – the company offers Engineers a pathway into a client-facing sales role while staying closely connected to their technical expertise.

As a Technical Service Sales Executive, you will coordinate service activities, participate in customer discussions, and support project planning, progressively taking on greater responsibility for proposals, quotations, and long-term account management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support sales activities related to engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and overhaul services across a range of marine applications.
  • Participate in client discussions, technical briefings, and project scoping to ensure requirements are captured accurately.
  • Translate customer needs into internal work packages, coordinating with engineering teams to offer the right service approach.
  • Prepare quotations, service outlines, and proposal documents, gradually managing these tasks independently.
  • Support scheduling and follow-through of service jobs, ensuring timely updates to both customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain well-structured service records, reports, and commercial documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
  • Assist in identifying service gaps, potential upgrades, and value-added opportunities that can strengthen customer relationships.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Min 2 to 3 years’ experience in marine or mechanical engineering – ideally including hands-on work with engines, equipment, or field service.
  • Comfortable with technical concepts and motivated to grow into a sales-oriented, customer-focused position.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset and confidence working with multidisciplinary teams.
